According to surveys, more than 30% of all automobile traffic accidents throughout the country are caused by brake failures. When a car is driving at high speed, once the brake fails, the consequences are very fatal. There is a rear-end collision or you slip down a hill because you can't brake. Don't look down on the brake failure. Let's see what precursors are before the failure!
I. Shivering brake
When our car is used for a long time, the flatness of its brake disc will decrease. The most important thing is that you will feel obvious shaking when braking. At this time, you have to be especially careful, and it is best not to continue using it, so as to avoid brake failure and serious consequences. In this case, it is best to drive your car to a repair shop to polish the brake discs or directly replace the brake discs. However, if the brake pedal jitters during sudden braking, this is a normal situation, because the sudden braking will trigger the ABS system, which uses a point brake to help you stop the car, so you don’t need to be too nervous in this case .
II. The brakes become hard or soft
When you step on the brake pedal, you can obviously feel hard, and it is high and hard, the vehicle is difficult to start or difficult to drive, then it may be that the one-way valve in the vacuum tank of the brake booster system is broken, This situation is not too serious, just need to replace the accessories.
But if the brake pedal becomes soft when braking, it is a big problem, and you must not continue to drive the vehicle. There are usually three reasons why the brakes are soft: The oil pressure of the sub-cylinder or the master cylinder may be insufficient (oil leakage); It is also possible that the brake disc pump or brake pads are malfunctioning; Or it may be that the brake pipe has entered air (stepping on the brakes several times in a row, the brakes have increased and have a sense of elasticity, that is is the performance of air intake. In this case, it is best to check thoroughly and replace parts before continuing to drive the vehicle.
III. Weak brakes
The brake weakness is probably due to the loss of pressure in the transmission line that provides the pressure. In this case, don't think too much, it is difficult for us to solve it by ourselves. It is best to drive your car directly into the 4S shop for maintenance, otherwise the consequences will be more serious.
IV. Brake offset
Brake offset is also called "partial brake". This situation is caused by the uneven force exerted on the brake pads by the left and right cylinders of the braking system. This situation is most obvious when the vehicle stops quickly, the wheel on the faster side will stop first, and the steering wheel will deflect. For such a situation, the sub-cylinder should be replaced in time. So as to avoid major traffic accidents.
V. The brake does not return
When you are driving, if the pedal does not rise and there is no resistance when stepping on the brake pedal, it is necessary to judge whether there is a lack of brake fluid, whether the brake cylinder, pipelines and joints are leaking, whether the parts of the master cylinder and the sub-cylinder are damaged. At this time, don't go on the road, it is best to call the rescue phone, otherwise there may be a danger of car damage and death, the owner may consider cleaning the sub-pump or replacing the caliper.
VI. Abnormal brake sound
When it comes to the comfort of the vehicle, the first thing we think of is the abnormal brake noise, because this is one of the most common problems affecting the comfort of the vehicle. Whether it’s a new car on the road, or a vehicle that has driven tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of kilometers, the problem of abnormal brake noise may appear at any time, especially the sharp "squeaking" sound is the most unbearable. However, it is often checked by a 4S shop and told that it is not a malfunction, and the abnormal noise will gradually disappear during driving, without additional repairs.
Sometimes the abnormal brake noise is not all faults, it may also be affected by the environment, usage habits, and the quality of the brake pad itself, and does not affect the braking performance. Of course, abnormal noise may also mean that the wear of the brake pads is close to the limit. The brake pads should be replaced in time to prevent accidents.
Daily maintenance is especially important, especially the brake maintenance. I also remind the majority of riders that brake failure is not a trivial matter, don't underestimate it, and don't ignore it, otherwise you will be at your own risk!
